New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has accused 21 universities in the country, including one in Kerala, of being fake and not legally entitled to award any degrees. Most of these in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh are UG. C. Anandil says.

21 self-proclaimed, unaccredited institutions identified as fake universities They have been declared as UGC Secretary Rajneesh Jain made it clear.

Institutions declared fake by UGC:

• All India Institute of Public and Physical Health Sciences ( Delhi) .
• Commercial University Ltd. Dariyaganj, United Nations Univ. Varsity (Delhi).
• Vocational University (Delhi)
• ADR Centric Judicial University (Delhi).
• Indian Institute of Science and Engineering (Delhi). 
• Vishwakarma Open University for Self Employment and Spirituality Vishwavidyalaya (Spiritual University -Delhi).
• Gandhi Hindi Vidyapeeth (Uttar Pradesh)
• National University of Electro Complex Homeopathy (Uttar Pradesh ) 
• Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose University (Uttar Pradesh), 
• Bharatiya Shiksha Parishad (Uttar Pradesh) 
• Badaganvi Sarkar World Open University Education Society (Karnataka), 
• St. John's University (Kerala), Raja Arbaik University (Nagpur),
